Essie Nail Polish Review

Ok, so i was hugely excited to discover that a Boots store in a highstreet near me has an Essie nail polish stand. So of course, i couldnt resist and had to buy one.

This is my first Essie polish and i have to say that it did not disappoint.

The shade i bought is Dive Bar, no.90

The bottle contains 13.5mls of product.
The colour looks different in the bottle than it does on the nails as in the bottle it seems like the base shade is a deep dark blue and reflects a gorgeous purple and teal shimmer, but on the nails it seems more of a deep blue grey base colour with a dark teal shimmer.

The brush is different to what i was expecting too as it is fairly wide, this makes painting your nails easier as you can apply polish in one or two swipes. But the brush seemed to pick up a little too much polish at a time due to the brush being so wide, so remember to wipe off the excess to avoid flooding the cuticles.

The consistancy of the polish is amazing. It goes on smoothly and if applied thickly enough you could get away with only applying one coat. It also dries quite quickly aswell which is always a bonus as we all get impatient waiting for polish to dry.

The only possible issue i have with the polish is its price. From Boots in my area Essie polishes cost £7.99. I personally think that for the quality of the polish and the amount you get in the bottle, i dont feel that £7.99 is a terrible price. If you compare it to brands like OPI who charge a minimun of £9.99 per polish for 15mls i think i would rather have Essie polishes as they are slightly cheaper, of better or equal quality and can be bought in Boots which will hopefully be accessable to most people, instead of having to buy them from beauty supply or beauty salons like OPI.

I have to give a little shout out to Shelley, who is Shellx85x, as i first fell in love with this shade when she showed it in a haul video. There were so many shades to choose from that i decided to go with Dive bar after remembering how much i loved it when i saw it on Shelley's channel.

So all in all i am loving this brand and would definately purchase more Essie nail polishes in the future.
The shades range from neutrals to brights to darks so im sure there is something for everyone.
Feel free to leave a comment on your thoughts or views about Essie polishes and/or how you feel they compare to other brands.

Thank you for your time and i hope you are all well.
